In March 2020, I began freelance work for nXu Education, a nonprofit organization that supports youth and adults explore, articulate, and pursue their purpose in life.
Social Media Management
One of my major ongoing projects was creating and managing nXu’s online presence on social media.
My first proposal was setting up social media accounts and establishing a baseline presence for the organization. I also do ongoing maintenance for the accounts that includes creating social media graphics, drafting and scheduling posts, and collaborating on promoting upcoming programs for youth and adults.
My role: manager, content writer, strategist, graphic designer
1. Compass Value – broken down by core concept, followed by components of concept.
2. Facebook ad visual for promoting online student bootcamp applications.
3. Social media graphics for online educator workshop.
Purpose Development Training Flyer
The flyer promotes upcoming training dates for educators who work with high school students. The objective was to make the ad attractive and fun while informative: dates of trainings, who should attend, what you’ll learn, etc.
Logo, copy and additional assets were provided to me. I took elements from the logo and created a bounding frame to add a pop of color for a sense of fun and excitement. Color photographs were transformed into black-white and used as “wallpaper” to bring out logo colors, and visually show a sense of fun.
My role: design
Programs used: Adobe InDesign, Photoshop
